The final Grand Tour of the year, the Vuelta a España, begins on Friday August 19 and we're set for a thrilling three weeks of action.

This year's race begins in the Netherlands with a team time trial, before the lowlands provides some uncharacteristically flat stages to the Vuelta for the following two days, enough to tempt some sprinters into showing up on the start line.

The Vuelta then returns to its homeland for the remaining stages and a feast of climbing for us to enjoy watching. It all concludes on Sunday September 11 with a final flat stage to the Spanish capital, Madrid, where the 2022 Vuelta a España winner will be crowned.

The GCN+ coverage of the Vuelta a España live is also being shown across Europe and Asia-Pacific (apart from China and New Zealand), so if you're in these areas you can access the Vuelta live stream with commentary options in English, Spanish, German, Italian, French, Dutch. The pre- and post-race shows will be only in English however. Other broadcasters will also be showing the Vuelta action in European nations as well.

Discovery Plus, GCN+ and Eurosport Player all offer on demand highlights packages of each day's racing, while Eurosport TV will show highlights programmes at varying points after each stage.
