ROULEUR

The Mark Gunter Photo Awards

Celebrating the very best in cycling photography, The Mark Gunter Photo Awards are split into categories for amateurs and professionals alike. Entrants are able to submit their photographs online at rouleur.cc/photoawards, the fees from which will be donated to Tour de Cure, an Australian cancer research charity and the Young Cyclist Assistance program.

As in year’s past, the jury will include some of the world’s most respected cycling photographers that will include Sean Hardy, James Startt and Graham Watson. But this year Rouleur will also invite judges from the international art world, as they welcome Antonio Colombo, Susanna Brown and Veronique Rolland to the panel.

The Prizes

To celebrate their work, the winner of the amateur category will have their image printed in Rouleur magazine. In addition, the winning image will also feature alongside the nominees in the professional category at a dedicated Mark Gunter Photo Awards exhibition at Rouleur Live 2023. We also have the prize of a Wahoo Elemnt Roam GPS bike computer bundle up for grabs for the winning photographer, courtesy of our friends at Wahoo.

Professionals will compete for the Mark Gunter Photo Award trophy, with medallions for second and third places. Full details of the categories, image requirements and information on entry fees and how to submit can be found here.

Leeanne Gatien, Mark Gunter Photography

“The awards are my way of sharing Mark’s legacy, a photographer who was known and loved for his big smile and kindness. Mark simply loved to capture the sport of cycling quietly from behind the lens and he was incredibly passionate about his work. I’m really proud that we’ve not only raised thousands for cancer research, which goes to help many more, but that we’ve also given so many young cyclists a small financial leg up on their journey through the gruelling and expensive sport that cycling can be. It’s a really special part of giving back to the cycling community that gave so much to Mark."
